On the first Monday of March, thanks to former Senator Tommy Morrison, we celebrate Chamorro Heritage Day. Not “Discovery Day.” Not “Magellan Day.” Chamorro Heritage Day – a celebration of who we are as native inhabitants of this island we call home.

As the 2026 election season begins, voters on Guam face familiar questions—but in a moment that is anything but ordinary: who has actually delivered, and who can be trusted to protect this island when it matters most.

This message is for the Guam Chamber of Commerce. You keep saying, “The sky didn’t fall.” That part is true. But you keep leaving out why. The sky didn’t fall because Guam governed responsibly. Here’s the story, plain and simple.
